{"url":"https://policetransparencynj.com/departments/franklin-lakes-boro-pd/","summary":"Franklin Lakes Borough Police Department is a municipal police agency in Bergen County. It named 7 officers in internal affairs cases in 2025 and reported 8 investigations, a rate of 114.3 per 100 officers, under the Bergen County median of 125.3 and the statewide municipal median of 125.9. A rate below the medians can mean less misconduct or a department that records less of what it hears. Of the 8 investigations detailed for 2025, 2 reported sustained complaints. The leading allegation was Improper Search.\n\nNo major discipline records appear in the 2020-2025 releases, and the absence of records is not a finding. Franklin Lakes Boro PD received an A on the report card, at the 15th percentile among 171 peers in the 15-29 officers group, a medium-confidence grade.","note":"Compiled from New Jersey Attorney General public data by an independent project; not a government source.
