Detective Torres then allegedly drove away after the assault, and was arrested a short distance from the lounge when he was pulled over by Paterson police officers who charged him with driving under the influence. A loaded, stolen handgun was allegedly located in his car. He was suspended for 30 days while the investigation was ongoing.
