On November 15th, 2024, officer Hunter Sawicki disregarded orders of a superior officer pursuant to making a notification. He failed to obey a clear order which he acknowledged receiving from the supervisor and instead made an incorrect notification related to the investigation being handled, a direct act of . The subsequent internal affairs investigation revealed multiple inconsistencies in his statement(s) to internal affairs investigators. A follow up interview was conducted to clear up any misinformation where he continued to show a lack of candor and was untruthful. Officer Sawicki was served with a Preliminary Notice of Discipline pursuant to these sustained charges on 12/31/2024 and requested an administrative hearing. He was further served with a second preliminary notice of discipline on 12/31/24 pursuant to IA 2024-04. In February of 2025 a settlement agreement was reached and Officer Sawicki resigned in good standing in lieu of discipline / termination being sought.
