At approximately 10:19 p.m. police responded to the home where James Manzo. Manzo allegedly was behaving erratically and said he would hurt another person. Officers entered the building and attempted to talk to Manzo. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to obtain information from Manzo, an officer attempted to enter Manzo's room. Manzo allegedly attempted to stab the officer with a pair of scissors. Officer James R. Crawford, who reportedly saw Manzo attempting to stab the other officer, shot and killed Manzo.
