About 4 p.m., Hillsborough Police went to a home on Piedmont Path after a 911 call reported an emergency inside the home. Hillsborough Police Officers encountered a man inside who was a resident of the house. During the encounter, one officer shot and killed Patrick Chin at around 4:16 p.m.
