On 10/28/2025, CPO Valasa received a 6 day suspension after an investigation sustained that she failed to search an inmate when escorting her from her housing unit to be transported to court. The inmate was then transported to the courthouse where she was searched by receiving Officers at the courthouse and found to be in possession of CDS on her person. The investigation further confirmed the inmate obtained the CDS from her cell inside her housing unit and the CDS was on her person prior to leaving her housing unit that morning and throughout her escort and subsequent transport to the courthouse.
