On 4/30/2025, CPO Lewis received a 90 day suspension, after an internal affairs investigation sustained that on 10/21/2024, he failed to act and assist officers who were in an active use of force situation with a non-compliant inmate and failed to call for an emergency response, as required by policy, to provide the additional staff needed to gain control of the non-compliant inmate and secure the situation. The investigation further sustained that his official report of the incident contained misrepresentations and omissions of facts, and when interviewed regarding this incident, he provided false statements and information which conflicted with what he previously reported.
