On April 6, 2022, An Investigator completed an investigation into an alleged Use of Force Violation. The investigation revealed that on February 20, 2021 an altercation takes place between Officer Padilla and an Ice Detainee. Video surveillance shows Officer Padilla engaged in a verbal dispute with the ICE Detainee, Officer Padilla turns around to start walking away, then turns back around and open hand strikes the Detainee and continues to exit the Dorm. Officer Padilla never documented the incident. On September 6, 2022 Officer Padilla received a 15 Day suspension.
