It is alleged, while off duty, Officer Holmes operated his personal motor vehicle in a reckless manner, at a high rate of speed disregarding red traffic signals, weaving in and out of traffic, and almost striking a marked patrol vehicle head-on, while eluding Atlantic City Police after having received a signal to bring the vehicle to a full stop by command of the police, and by such conduct, created a risk of death or injury to the public. Officer Holmes was suspended pending the outcome of criminal charges.
