Ptl. McLaughlin had police contact while in Ocean City Maryland and did not immediately report this interaction with department administration as required. Instead, Ptl. McLaughlin consulted with PBA representation before notifying administration a day later. During the police contact, Ptl. McLaughlin unnecessarily identified himself as a police officer and his actions were found to violate our employee code of conduct. Ultimately, Ptl. McLaughlin was found guilty of “Failing to stop at a steady circular red signal.”
