On March 27, 2025, P.O. Jorge Fernandez submitted a wedding invitation to a supervisor in order to be excused from the mandatory Lyndhurst Police Department Memorial Day inspection. This wedding invitation was found to have been altered. Based upon this investigation, it was found that P.O. Fernandez purposely and knowingly submitted an altered wedding investigation in order to be excused from the mandatory Memorial Day inspection.
