It was also determined the Detective lost his police badge and identification and did not report the incident. An administrative investigation was conducted by VTPD Internal Affairs Bureau and found the Detective violated VTPD Rules and Regulations 1:4.14 ( – Failure to Report for Duty)/3:7.2 (Absence from Duty), 3:9.4 (Department Property and Equipment), and 3:7.15 (All Other Conduct – Conduct Subversive to the good order of the department)
