Synopsis as reported by the agency

East Jersey State Prison Senior Correctional Police SCPO (SCPO) Radian Dixon-Byron was arrested twice within a week by the Elizabeth City Police Department as the result of domestic violence incidents. On 3/14/25, SCPO Dixon-Byron was arrested and charged criminally with two counts of Aggravated Assault, one count each of Simple Assault, Making Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. During the incident, SCPO Dixon-Byron stabbed, bit, threw household objects, and threatened to kill the victim. On 3/19/25, SCPO Dixon-Byron was arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and for an Unlawful Purpose. When the police arrived and entered SCPO Dixon-Byron’s apartment, they found the victim barricaded in a bedroom, defending himself from SCPO Dixon-Byron, who chased him with a knife, trying to stab him. The victim also reported that SCPO Dixon-Byron struck and bit him and broke two televisions and a lamp during the incident. SCPO Dixon-Byron was issued two Preliminary Notices of Discipline Action, one for each incident. On 12/5/25, the matter was settled and SCPO Dixon-Byron agreed to resign from her employment and to be banned from future re-employment with the New Jersey Department of Corrections.
