On 5/17/25, while working in 4 Wing, Northern State Prison’s Senior Correctional Police Officer (SCPO) Aljenis Ortiz was observed on video entering a tier of a Close Custody Unit while failing to activate her Body Worn Camera. SCPO Ortiz was also observed passing a JPAY tablet from one cell to another in the RHU where the tablet was not authorized to be in. An investigation revealed that SCPO Ortiz failed to log herself into the logbook as required. SCPO Ortiz signed a settlement agreement for a 10-day suspension on 8/23/25.
