In July 2023 it was determined that Officer Ciaccia failed to follow orders given by his supervisor. Officer Ciaccia was found to have ignored lawful orders and frequented a coffee shop for approximately 8.5 hours during the month of July. While at the coffee shop Officer Ciaccia reported that he was conducting property checks of critical infrastructure despite not conducting them. Officer Ciaccia was found to be negligent, insubordinate and filed false reports regarding his whereabouts and activity during this time. This matter was finalized in arbitration in 2025.
