On 8-3-2022, Officer A. Lane was involved in the arrest of a male subject. During the arrest, Officer A. Lane used excessive force specifically by punching the male subject in the face multiple times which was prohibited by the NJ AG Guidelines and Vineland Police Department Use of Force Policy. In addition, Officer A. Lane was untruthful as to indicating the arrestee attempted to strike him and that he thought the arrestee had a weapon just to justify his use of force. Officer A. Lane resigned as part of a settlement agreement in September 2025.
