Sergeant Trohalides was demoted for violating departmental rules and regulations under chapter 79 . The conduct and violations occurred on 10/06/2021 involving a motor vehicle stop , but the appeal became final in 2022. Sgt. Trohalides had a patrol officer responding to an abandon 911 call to disregard the call to assist him with a motor vehicle stop involving an elderly female with an active traffic warrant. All comunications were conducted via cell phone by Sgt. Trohalides to his patrol officer involving this incident. Sgt. Trohalides followed the vehicle to the drivers residence in this jurisdiction made contact with the driver without calling out the motor vehicle stop as required on the police radio. Upon his officer's arrival he order his officer to advise police headquarters via radio of the motor vehilce stop and location. The officer subsequently placed the driver under arrest and transported the subject to police headquarters. The officer completed his required police report and Sgt. Trohalides subsequently changed the officer's report without his knowledge or approval. The investigation conducted along with witness statements concluded a sustained findings for multiple rules and regulations violations with Sgt. Trohalides actions.
