Sgt Almanzar was demoted and suspended for 120 days for , or failure to perform duties as a supervisor. Almanzar failed to properly supervise and provide clear direction to his subordinates during a case involving an aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Almanzar failed to ensure his subordinates reports were completed prior to end of shift. Almanzar determined the case was not in his jurisdiction but never notified the other jurisdiction that they should investigate the crime.
