On Saturday, September 14, 2024 Off-Duty Lt Christopher Hasch approached the Administrative Lieutenant, who was on a special detail, to report he found patrol rifle, #88-139115, secured in the rear portion of the vehicle in the rifle rack which was not returned at the end of a shift from September 9, 2024. Lt Hasch advised the Administrative Lieutenant he did not want to be involved but felt he should know about the incident. When asked why he felt to report the incident at this time instead of immediately when it happened, he stated to thee Administrative Lieutenant, he was all about the safety when it came to this stuff. He then left the event at that point without further explanation.
