On 10/08/2024 Det. Dejon Morris did not respond to a burglary and theft call,neglecting a supervisor's orders.He failed to submit a report until he was ordered to do so twice by a supervisor.Upon completion of the report, it was found that he made an untruthful statement in the report.Det. Morris' actions prevented the victim from obtaining the essential investigatory steps of having a statement taken and evidence collection.Det. Morris was also found to have been untruthful during the subsequent Internal Affairs investigation specifically by being evasive in his answers and repeating false statements made in his report as true.
