Synopsis as reported by the agency

On May 25, 2020, Det. Blakney repeatedly punched a wall in the victim€™s residence causing damage to the wall. Blakney then went to another residence in order to locate and confront the victim. While at this second residence, Blakney kicked the front door and broke the front door window in an attempt to enter the residence. Blakney eventually entered the residence where he attempted to locate the victim. Once inside, Blakney kicked open a locked door in order to gain entry into the room. Law enforcement officers arrived at the residence while Blakney was still there. An investigation determined that Blakney provided false information to the responding officers. Blakney was suspended for 503 days until his resignation not in good standing from the agency.

Compensation and pension

No confident pension match found. This site links a pension record to a named officer only when the name and the exact employing agency both match a New Jersey Treasury record. Where that bar is not met, nothing is shown rather than a guess. See methodology for how these matches are made and what is withheld.
