On February 09, 2025, Ptl. M. Kochis responded to a call for service involving a disabled motor vehicle. As a result of the call for service Ptl. Kochis was involved in a motor vehicle collision involving the disabled motor vehicle. Damage was sustained on all vehicles involved which was not reported to the duty supervisor. Ptl. Kochis deactivated his body worn camera prior to the conclusion of the event. During the internal affairs interview, Ptl. Kochis was untruthful while answering questions. The investigation found a sustained finding for the following allegations: BTPD Rules and Regulation: Truthfulness, , and Command of Scene, BTPD SOP: Motor Vehicle Collisions Involving Department Vehicles and Body Worn Cameras.
