On or about February 19, 2022, Officer Weitzman unlawfully took another person's cell phone while on duty. Officer Weitzman entered PTI without a plea and forfeited his position in law enforcement by N.J.S.A 2C:51-2. On April 1, 2023, 31-B (Final Notice of Disciplinary Action) and 31-C (Final Notice Of Disciplinary Action For Law Enforcement and Fire Fighters Removal) were served on Mr. Weitzman documenting forfeiture.
