Following an investigation, it was determined that on 7/3/2020, the officer --were--involved--in--a--physical--altercation. When Vernon Township Police Department (VTPD) arrived to the scene the officer identified the officer rself as law enforcement an provided ID to confirm the officer r employment as an NJ Corrections Officer at Norther State Prison. VTPD noted a strong--odor--of--alcoholic--beverage--emanating--from--the officer r--breath and that the officer appeared unstable and possibly intoxicated.
