On February 28, 2023, Officer Gressel was arrested by the Mullica Township Police Department. Officer Gressel was observed driving erratically and unable to maintain staying in one lane. After pulling into a parking lot the police pulled Officer Gressel over and conducted a field sobriety test. Officer Gressel was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station where breath samples were taken and Officer Gressel produced a blood alcohol level of 0.14%. Officer Gressel signed a settlement agreement on this matter on June 5, 2024.
