On 12/8/24 and 12/9/24, New Jersey State Prison’s Senior Correctional Police Officer (SCPO) Brian Jenkins called out Sick Leave. According to the departmental policy regarding attendance, he must have sufficient leave balance to cover his request. However, his Sick Leave balance was insufficient and these call outs were in violation of the time and attendance policy as outlined in departmental policy. SCPO Jenkins was issued a Final Notice of Disciplinary Action on 3/12/2025 for a 10-day suspension.
