On 2/24/25, 2/28/25, 3/1/25, 3/4/25, 3/7/25, 3/30/25, 4/9/25, 4/12/25, 4/13/25 and 4/16/25, New Jersey State Prison’s Senior Correctional Police Officer (SCPO) Hunter Mercurio called out sick. SCPO Mercurio did not have sufficient sick leave time to support the absences. This was deemed to be chronic and . SCPO Mercurio signed a Last Chance settlement agreement on this matter for a 15-day suspension on 6/12/2025.
