Synopsis as reported by the agency
On 6/8/25, Northern State Prison’s Senior Correctional Police Officer (SCPO) Enrique Hidalgo was notified by the Operations Unit that he was mandated to work 2nd shift on a specific unit. SCPO. Hidalgo acknowledged the assignment and went to his ordered post. When he was relieved for his meal break, he exited the facility and abandoned his post by not alerting any supervisory staff of his whereabouts. SCPO Hidalgo failed to report to medical, fill out the required forms necessary for early release, and did not follow proper call off procedures. SCPO Hidalgo signed a settlement for a 30-day suspension on 3/10/25.
