An Investigation revealed that on 12/12/24, Garden State Youth Correctional Facility’s Senior Correctional Police Officer (SCPO) Tasgeana Richardson admitted to leaving her assigned post inside the secured perimeter of the institution at 1859 hours on 12/8/24. SCPO Richardson was scheduled to work on 12/8/24 at 1330 hours to 2130 hours as the Closed Custody Unit Officer. SCPO Richardson admitted to "hanging out" with their supervisor in the parking lot and never returned to their post. SCPO Richardson signed a settlement agreement for a 15-day suspension on 6/26/25.
